Question 2 Does Not Require Notification of Family

Posted by Committee Against Physician Assisted Suicide on October 12.

Question 2 does not require the patient to notify family members that they are asking their doctor for a lethal dose to commit suicide. End of life decisions are some of the most difficult decisions any person must make and families should be notified if a loved one wants to commit suicide. We should be encouraging open, honest conversations about end of life decisions. Question 2 once again shows itself as being poorly written and highly flawed.

The lack of family notification is one of the many reasons why you should vote NO on Question 2 on November 6.
